Hi guys! How’s it going? 

Here’s an update to let you know what we’re working on for Mysthea, making sure everything is perfect, since you all showed such great support so far! 

You wanted further proof of our graphic designers' wonderful job? Prepare to be amazed!

These are some of the marvelous artworks for Mysthea! Take a look at the details! Travis made all these creations come to life with his sketches! And what about those vivid colors? A real peace of art!

Don't worry, later on we’ll give you another taste of this fantastic world so you can keep up with our constant work as soon as we have some new elements to show you!

Thank you for making all of this possible! 

Besides, we appreciate so much the enthusiasm you showed for Barbarians! The other few copies from the US will be available soon and hopefully we’ll be able to let all of you guys have them!

Latest Mysthea news and a Barbaric surprise

We are thrilled to share with you that after hours of testing and listening to resulting feedback, exciting enhancements have been added to what once was Mysthea’s prototype. We have no doubt that you will really enjoy these developments! 
Every day Mysthea is becoming a land filled with more terrifying and fantastic wonders, and also Mysthea’s layout and graphics are receiving their final touches by our graphic designers.

Furthermore, we would like to announce that we have reached an important milestone in the progress of the Mysthea Rulebook and we expect to share with you the final English version very soon! We are also beginning the translation process for all the different languages, and thanks to the great support of 2 special backers we will also have digital versions for Portuguese and Greek (we will dedicate one of the next updates to this topic, so stay tuned)! 

Barbarians on the pledge manager!

We have received many requests in the last few months from backers interested in purchasing our previous game Barbarians: The Invasion. However, being the game a Kickstarter exclusive, we couldn't do much to grant their wishes.

While the game is still a Kickstarter exclusive and not available for retail, we did receive a small number of copies left from the campaign fulfillment. These copies will be available to Mysthea backers through BackerKit, and they will be shipped right away.

It is important to note that we will only be able to offer limited quantities, and they will be available starting from the 17th of May at 17:00 CET! If you did not receive the post campaign survey for any reason, you can access the link here: https://mysthea.backerkit.com

Game Development is going smoothly 

Here’s the first update after the end of our campaign! Things are super busy here at the office: we are finalizing all game components and artwork, testing and improving the iconography, and drawing the last cards.

We are also busy preparing our Post-Campaign Survey on BackerKit. In the survey you will be able to give your shipping address and pay shipping costs, upgrade your pledges and order add-ons!

Add-ons! 

As we anticipated during the campaign, here are the much requested add-ons we have included in the post campaign survey.

Two additional decks (134 Cards) with English text in place of icons, to get a more immersive experience without having to learn all the iconography.

The printed Rulebook and 5 Cards References translated in the following languages: Italian, German, French. The Language packs will also be available to download for everyone.

In the post campaign survey you will also be able to buy additional copies of the Crystal Edition and of the Hardcover Artbook.

About BackerKit 

The surveys are coming this week! Here’s some information about what to expect:

To fill out your survey, you do not need to create a BackerKit account. When you receive the email with the survey, just click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about what name you would like to see in the box/thank you page, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email, so please keep an eye out for it in your inbox!

After you respond to the survey, you can also go back and change your responses any time before we close the surveys and get our final count.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can modify your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://mysthea.backerkit.com.

A total of 4021 backers!

You managed to reach €314,431 and unlocked everything, including the Custom Fortification Tokens! We are extremely satisfied with all the things we managed to add to Mysthea, this game is going to be awesome! 

What a journey!  

It seems yesterday that we launched the campaign asking ourselves if we could surpass the funding goal and add all the SGs we were hoping to include. And look at the campaign now! We reached the last Major Stretch Goal with so much support that we needed to create even more additional stretch goals to reward you guys for this amazing result!

The final game will have:  

• All the cardboard pieces upgraded in thickness  
• All components with linen finish 
• All cards with linen finish
• Fifth player Expansion 
• 75 miniatures in different scales 
• Alternate miniature poses 
• Custom wooden tokens 
• Additional cards to add depth 
• Custom plastic trays 
• Spot UV box 

 And even more upgrades that will transform a great game into a wonderful one! 

This campaign has been a great success, and we are confident that you will receive a wonderful game with a great production value and almost endless replayability.

We’ve partnered with BackerKit for the pledge management and post campaign survey. We will give you more information about this process soon! As mentioned, on BackerKit, you will also be able to purchase the following addons:  

• Cards with written English and flavor text add on, consisting of 2 decks in one Pack,
•  Language Pack with the Rulebook and 5 Card References (available in German, Italian, French)

Poll Results

You have spoken and there is definitely a lot of interest for printed Language Packs as add-ons! So each country that has more than 200 backers will receive the option to buy a Language Pack including the Rulebook and 5 Reference Cards!

Golem Unlocked!

The new Golem is here! Let's have a closer look at the sculpt! We might modify it further in the future to make the injection molding process smoother, but this is the design direction we are thinking of!

Custom Wooden Fortifications?!?

Yeah, the much requested Fortifications upgrade is here! Instead of cardboard tiles, all 20 Fortifications will become Wooden Tokens if we reach 300k! Each player will have 4 more wooden tokens that can be placed on the ISlands.

The Fortifications are tokens that need to be stacked to optimize the space on the islands, but they also need to be big enough that a miniature can be placed on top of it. This design constraint doesn't stop us from making them out of wood! Here's a proof of concept of how we are envisioning them:
